Episode 3 of Save Water, Drink Beer is up! A three week break but back good as ever hopefully!

Also episode 4 of The App Review Show is online. I take a look at the first app I have paid for and also the Brodit ProClip all at once!

In other news I have gone a bit mad with the 'Record From Webcam' button on YouTube and started doing some more regular micro vlogs to fill space. Also in a total TomRanson.com take over I am also recording an audio podcast. You can find that on iTunes if you search TomRanson in the iTunes store. The podcast (hopefully) will turn into a bit of a weekly thing with all the members of 53 Whitstable Road! We will see.

Last summer I was at a friends house the morning after a party. We were sitting out in the sun recovering, when her Mum came out to say hi. She was wearing a "Save Water, Drink Beer." t-shirt. I said that it was really cool and someone else said that it wouldn't make a very good cut of tea. So I vowed to make a cup of tea and instead of water, use lager.

HTC Hero

So yeah, i've got my new HTC Hero and it's everything I dreamt it would be!

The Android OS is tops anyway. It flows so much better than Windows Mobile, and with the Touch Sense UI it even manages to stand out from other Android phones! It does everything my amazing Diamond could do (GPS, WiFi, Accelerometer...etc) and more! This phone has a digital compass in it like the inferior iPhone 3Gs but actually makes good use of it. When in Google maps you can go down to street view and hold the phone as if you just looking through it at the scenery, then as you turn the image turns with you, like your there! here is a quick video I put together to show it off.

So yeah, cool? I love it. Been on an 'apps' binge as well. Got a selection of cool ones, including a lightsaber obviously. It's just such a cool device. Totally worth getting if your in need of a new phone.

So today was pretty awesome.

For starters I woke up at 12 which was a nice lie in, although Tuesday I have a 10am lecture so I have to get back into waking up earlier. I watched the Bolton - Blackburn game until the Spurs game started. Wasn't expecting much because we have been a little short of good these days. What happened? 9-1 with Defoe scoring 5! If he doesn't go to South Africa as a first choice striker something is wrong with this world. Lennon was also guilty of 3 assists and a goal, he has to have a good shout for that right wing position. The other goals came thanks to Crouch on 9 mintues, a Bentley free kick after about 88 and a Kranjcar smash in added time.

To cap off the day, I have been wanting a HTC Hero smartphone for a very long time. It would be my 4th phone from HTC and my 1st Android device. Well my Dad told me he has just upgraded my phone to the Hero and it will be with me on Tuesday or Wednesday! How awesome is that, what day.

Just enjoying Pizza from Domino's right now with some wine and MOTD2. Great.
